The United States' Mental Health Care System continues to be seriously flawed. Some states have better mental health care than others, but across the country we are experiencing a serious lack of services for individuals who suffer from a debilitating, disabling mental health care conditions that can and often do last a lifetime, depending on what this person might be suffering from.

Supportive living services provide a level of independence and self respect that are not available in an institutionalized setting for the disabled.
